THE LOST EARTH

Deep within as the layers unfold,

The rich biodiversity of Earth behold.

A tropical jungle, a forest so deep,

Desert cacti or an ocean sweep.

My version of our vibrant Earth,

Thriving abundantly without a dearth.

Are they living in fear each day?

‘A Lost Earth’  if I may say.

EXPLORE OUR EARTH WITH ME...

Inspired by my travels and experiences, I present to you 'The Lost Earth', a collection inspired by the rich biodiversity of our Earth that is always thriving and never ceases to amaze me.
A collection of vibrant hand-painted watercolour art with pen-work detailing, that unfolds layer upon layer and draws you within.... deep within... into our Lost Earth.

A STEP CLOSER TO NATURE...

From my visits to the dense depths of the tiger sanctuaries in India to the grasslands of South Africa, forests have always bewildered me - a self-sustaining ecosystem of nature and animals living together in harmony.
Trees - the heart of the forest - welcome me. The birdsongs, rustling leaves and murmuring streams awaken my senses. With every turn, an enrapturing visual of what lies beyond.
An expression of the depths and diversity of a forest coming together and coming alive.

'DEEP FORESTS'

This jungle is dense dark and deep,
It's beautiful in here, come take a peep.
Leaves of every shape and size,
Living harmoniously together, aren’t they wise?

A PLACE AS DIVERSE AS THIS...

The first time I really understood the meaning of the words vast, dense, humid, and tropical was when I visited the great tropical forests of the Amazon -  the most biologically diverse place on this planet.
The gigantic expanse of greenery and foliage of all shapes and sizes; larger than large and smaller than small, dotted with an abundance of vibrant coloured flowers, each telling its own story.

'TROPICANA'

A tropical forest, Oh! so dense,
It will awaken your every sense.
A myriad of colours Oh! so bright,
You might get lost in this pretty sight.

OR DIVE RIGHT IN...

While I was a bit terrified to jump out into the middle of the ocean, as soon as I made it under the surface, the view within the warm depths of The Great Barrier Reef was just simply breathtaking.
Every now and then, I experience something that makes me feel incredibly grateful that I could scuba dive into the Great Barrier Reef, one of  those iconic once in a lifetime experiences.
This is exactly what I have tried to bring to life - a territory unknown - only left to one’s imagination.

'INTO THE DEEP'

Have you ever wondered what lies beneath,
The massive expanse of waters so deep?
A vibrant life so clean and clear,
That gleams and shines within our sphere.
Dive into the deep with me,
This is the sight you will see.

I still remember the distinct taste and rich colour of the welcome drink made of fresh Hibiscus flowers served to us on our visit to Egypt.
We all visualise deserts as a dusty, lifeless no-man’s land, but I have visualised them as an oasis of hardy wildflowers that strive for the perfect balance between wind, water and sun to explode with a myriad of colours.

...AND LET NOT THE ARID DESERTS STOP YOU.

'THE GREEN OASIS'

Within an arid desert lies,
This green oasis in a guise.
This is my version of a desert alive,
Thriving, flourishing and raring to strive.

....BRING ABUNDANCE INTO YOUR HOME.

Imagine our Earth with all its biodiversity thriving together.
Where the mighty oceans meet the forests and the forest greens meet arid deserts.
A step into nature at its purest and most beautiful form.

'LIVING TOGETHER'

Our Earth is One so full of Life,
Living together without a strife.
From deep within the oceans blue,
To the arid deserts where plants are few.
Forests full of leaves so green,
Flowers blooming Oh! What a beautiful scene!
Imagine our Earth so full of Life.
Imagine our Earth so full of Life!
