Brahmakunda Talao

Brahmakunda Talao

The Jakhmata Devi temple was constructed by Juhu resident Raghunath Putlaji Rane in 1896. As Rane began digging a well adjacent to the temple, he found an idol of Devi Sitala for which he built another temple. As he further excavated he found an impression of Brahma's lotus foot and hence he named the well Brahmakunda.
