Theosophical Housing Society
The foundation stone of the Theosophical Housing Colony was laid by Dr Besant on February 7, 1926. During the opening ceremony, about 100 Theosophical Society members lived together for one full week. Besant Montessori School was the first Montessori school of Bombay, inaugurated on 6th January 1948 in the Theosophical Colony.
